I would say to do your research on the service and the laptop before you rent. Go to your local electronics store and try the laptop you are going to rent before you go through with it.

I would tell them to take care as though would if renting any other thing that doesn’t actually belong to them. They should first make sure the equipment isn’t damaged and that they are going to be able to use it properly. They also want to make sure if there are any scratches or defects the renting agency knows before they take it out of the store so that they are not blamed when they return it and possibly charged money for replacement or repair. They should also make sure that all of the accessories they need are included so that they do not waste time trying to accumulate these things and losing part of their rental time being unable to use the rented laptop.
